Editorial policy and AI-use disclosure

Sourcing

  • We report from primary sources wherever possible: official blogs, press releases, patch notes, store listings and documentation.
  • Every article lists its sources with links at the end.
  • Secondhand reports, leaks and datamines are labeled as such and kept out of the "confirmed" list.

Fact-checking

Before publishing, specific claims (dates, prices, version numbers, statistics, quotes) are checked against the linked sources. Claims we cannot verify are removed or clearly labeled as unconfirmed. Company-reported figures such as benchmarks or ROI are attributed to the company, not presented as independent results.

Corrections

Report errors via our contact page. We correct verified errors and update the article's "Updated" date; substantive corrections are noted on the page.

AI-use disclosure

MetaPatchAI uses AI tools extensively, and we want to be plain about it:

  • Research and drafting: AI systems help find new announcements, read sources and write first drafts.
  • Verification: drafts are checked claim by claim against the linked primary sources before publishing; unverifiable claims are cut or labeled.
  • Images: article header and social share images are generated title cards or original illustrations, not photos of real events, and never presented as official assets.
  • No fake people: articles are credited to the MetaPatchAI Editorial Team rather than invented personas.
  • Hands-on claims: we only say we tested or played something when we actually did; otherwise articles say they summarize official information.
