- Larian added its own in-game Mod Manager in Patch 7, which lets you browse, install and use community mods from inside the game (Patch 7 highlights on Steam).
- Use the Mod Manager for mods published there. Later updates improved its messaging and mod verification when you join multiplayer games (Community Update #32).
- Script-based mods outside the Mod Manager often need Norbyte's Script Extender (see its README).
- Third-party tools are not made by Larian. Read each mod's own instructions.
