What Ultimate adds
Rockstar describes it as "an exclusive collection of items threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story." Third-party coverage, quoting the press release, mentions premium vehicles, weapons and apparel. Rockstar hasn't published a full item list. We'll update when it does.
Pre-order bonus (all editions, bought before Nov 20, 2026)
Vintage Vice City Pack, per Rockstar Support: - '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage - Outfits and hairstyles - Exclusive weapon pattern - One month of GTA+, for digital pre-orders only. The physical box doesn't list it.
Physical vs digital: what to know
- The box has no disc. It holds a download code (Rockstar Support).
- Boxes go on sale Nov 12, the same day digital preloading opens. Redeem your code early to preload.
- Physical owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade from the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store after redeeming the code, per Rockstar Support.
Which should you buy?
If you just want the story, Standard ($79.99) gets you the full game plus the pre-order pack. Ultimate costs $20 more for cosmetic and gameplay extras that Rockstar hasn't itemized yet. You can upgrade later, so there's no penalty for starting with Standard.
