Steps

  1. Make sure your game is updated to at least 1.12. Patch 1.12 "Added new feature to summon spectral steed during the Elden Beast boss battle", so you can ride Torrent in phase 2. (Bandai Namco, Patch Notes 1.12)
  2. Summon co-op help. Use a Furlcalling Finger Remedy near the boss to see golden signs. You can have up to two cooperative guests at a time. (Bandai Namco, multiplayer intro)
  3. Playing with a friend? Set the same case-sensitive multiplayer password on both games. (Same source)
  4. Know the fight is two parts: Radagon first, then the Elden Beast. That's confirmed by patch 1.12, which adds Torrent only to the Elden Beast fight.

Boss data and tips (source: Fextralife wiki, third-party; pages edited Aug 14, 2026)

Phase 1, Radagon of the Golden Order - Weak to fire and strike damage. Holy negation is 80. Immune to bleed (hemorrhage), sleep and madness. - The fire tip is for Radagon only (see below).

Phase 2, Elden Beast - Resists fire (40 negation) and is weak to physical damage. Immune to all status effects. - Run behind the Beast during its breath attack. Fextralife: "run behind the beast, because it usually starts by breathing fire"; for Golden Breath, "position yourself to its backside."

Both phases - Both deal holy damage, so holy-resistance gear helps. Fextralife suggests Lord's Divine Fortification, Haligdrake Talisman +2 and Holyproof Dried Liver.
