Titan Quest II Pre-Orders Open on Xbox Series X|S Ahead of Jan. 19, 2027 Launch, With 96 Hours of Early Access

Oct 30, 2026: Nemesis has a release date on consoles. THQ Nordic and Grimlore Games say Titan Quest II, the sequel to the original mythology ARPG, launches on Xbox Series X|S on January 19, 2027, and Xbox pre-orders are open now. The announcement ran on Xbox Wire on Oct. 29. On Steam, the developers also posted a PC price increase and a new Early Access update.

The short version

  • Console launch: Jan. 19, 2027, Xbox Series X|S
  • Early access: 96 hours with either edition, so play can start as early as Jan. 15, 2027
  • Standard Edition: $59.99 / €59.99
  • Ultimate Edition: $79.99 / €79.99, which adds the original Titan Quest plus its Ragnarök and Atlantis expansions, playable right away
  • Pre-order bonus (both editions): the Cosmic Turtle Companion
  • Loyalty discount: owners of the original Titan Quest on Xbox get 10% off the Standard Edition, per Xbox Wire
  • PC: 1.0 the same day at a final price of $49.99 / €49.99 (Steam)

What kind of game is this?

Xbox Wire describes an action RPG set in a reimagined ancient Greece, where you stop Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution, from corrupting the Threads of Fate. It entered Early Access on PC in August 2025.

Masteries, combat and loot

Instead of picking a fixed class, you combine two of six Masteries (Earth, Storm, Warfare, Rogue, Forge and Spirit) into a hybrid. Xbox Wire's math: 15 distinct pairings before gear. Skill modifiers can change how a skill behaves entirely, you can respec at any time for a small gold fee, and no class is locked out of any weapon or armor.

The developers pitch the combat as "deliberate rather than frantic." Enemies fight in factions, health potions refill as you deal damage, and Rituals let you set the difficulty yourself. Crafting lets you reroll, add or upgrade affixes, and co-op multiplayer is supported.

Meanwhile on PC: no pre-order, but a price hike is coming

In a Steam post on Oct. 28, the publisher said there will be no pre-order on PC. Instead, everyone who bought the game during Early Access will get a PC-exclusive companion, with details "released in due time."

The same post confirms the price schedule:

  • Now: $34.99 / €34.99
  • From Nov. 6, 2026: $39.99 / €39.99 (the second Early Access increase)
  • At 1.0 on Jan. 19, 2027: $49.99 / €49.99 (final price)

Per that schedule, buying before Nov. 6 is cheapest.

Early Access update: ability slots return, Hero Monsters arrive

On Oct. 29 Grimlore also released the first of two minor updates planned before 1.0 (build 0.7.1). The official Steam notes list:

  • Two ability slots added back. The team called their earlier removal "very controversial." Some keybindings may reset.
  • Hero Monsters: tougher faction creatures that spawn randomly and have a high chance to drop Relic fragments for the current chapter
  • Buff Shrines: randomized temporary buffs (Experience, Defenses, Power, Speed)
  • Junk rarity removed; Sell All and Salvage All now affect everything not marked "Locked"

The developers say support will continue after 1.0. Their Oct. 23 "Road to 1.0" post previews a final chapter in the Taygetos Mountains and a "Kaos Curses" endgame.
