Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gets New Game+ on November 5

Edited by Stephen Pierce · Source: Ubisoft, "Assassin's Creed: Fall 2026 Update", presented by Jean Guesdon, Head of Content

Oct 30, 2026: One of the most-requested Assassin's Creed features is finally coming. In its Assassin's Creed: Fall 2026 Update, published Oct 29, 2026, Ubisoft confirmed that New Game+ arrives in Assassin's Creed Valhalla on November 5. Head of Content Jean Guesdon presented the update. It also covers Codename Hexe, Codename Invictus, remakes, the Netflix series and the franchise's 20th anniversary in 2027.

Ubisoft's own wording for New Game+ is "(very, very, very) long-awaited."

What Valhalla's New Game+ includes

Ubisoft says Valhalla "recently surpassed 40 million players," and New Game+ is the celebration. According to the official update, NG+ lets you "start fresh while carrying over much of your progression, with dedicated NG+ scaling." The update also adds:

  • An optional progression mode where Gear, Runes and Masteries all count toward Eivor's overall Power.
  • New runes, achievements, a stash system and new rewards, including a Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe's look in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
  • Mithril, a new resource for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes.
  • Divine Gear quality for all items.

Ubisoft says full details will come in "the upcoming Patch Notes." It also says news on "current-generation console updates" will follow "in the coming days." We don't know yet what those console updates involve.

The rest of the Fall 2026 Update

Black Flag Resynced's last big update. Ubisoft says the remake's "final major update has arrived," bringing New Game+, Nightmare Mode, new rewards, finishers, trinkets and customization options, including Blackbeard's outfit. That update (Title Update 1.0.8) went out on Oct 27, per Ubisoft's German newsroom. Ubisoft calls it "the end of our current plans for additional major content," with quality-of-life updates still to come.

No other remakes in development. Ubisoft says "we currently have no other Assassin's Creed remake actively in development," while adding that "that door remains open."

Codename Hexe. The darker Assassin's Creed project is making "steady progress," and Ubisoft says it will "share our next major update in 2027."

Codename Invictus. After a private Insiders Session, Ubisoft says players wanted "more of the pillars that define Assassin's Creed." The multiplayer project is "evolving in an exciting direction" as a result. Ubisoft warns that online information about Invictus "may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate."

Netflix series. Production of the live-action series is "nearing completion in Rome, Italy." Composer Hannah Peel is scoring it. Ubisoft says no release date has been communicated.

20th anniversary. Assassin's Creed turns 20 in 2027. Ubisoft promises "a year of reveals, updates, rewards, and community moments" and revealed an anniversary logo.

New community survey. Ubisoft says its next Community Survey "is now live."

Why it matters for Valhalla players

Valhalla is a huge game, and NG+ gives returning players a reason to go back to England with their builds intact. The new Power-based progression mode and Mithril upgrades could also change endgame gear for players who maxed out. Ubisoft says feedback on this update "will help inform future discussions" about similar updates for other Assassin's Creed games.
