Source: Telltale / PM Studios (via Games Press)

Oct 30, 2026: Bigby Wolf is back. Telltale and PM Studios launched The Wolf Among Us Remastered digitally worldwide on Oct. 29, 2026. The launch also brought confirmation of a long-requested feature: choices you make in the remaster will carry forward into The Wolf Among Us 2. The remaster adds five playable Deleted Scenes and a black-and-white Noir Mode. The Nintendo Switch version, which was originally announced for the same day, will now arrive later.
The short version
- Out now (digital): PC (Steam, including Steam Deck, and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox One, playable on Xbox Series X|S via backward compatibility
- Price: $24.99 USD
- Launch deal: 20% off from Oct. 29 through Nov. 12, 2026. Eligible digital owners of the original game get "up to half off," per the press release. On PlayStation, the 20% launch discount is for PlayStation Plus members only, and the offers can't be combined.
- Nintendo Switch: "will follow at a later date"
- Physical editions: planned for early 2027 on multiple platforms (Q1 2027, per PM Studios)
- Co-developer: Trick Studios
Your choices carry into The Wolf Among Us 2
This is the headline for long-time fans. The launch press release says it's the first time Telltale and PM Studios have confirmed that defining choices from the Remastered will carry into The Wolf Among Us 2.
How it works, per the release and the Steam listing:
- Sign in to a Telltale Account while playing the Remastered, and your defining choices carry into the next season.
- Skipping the remaster? You can set your past choices at the start of The Wolf Among Us 2, and no previous playthrough is required.
The press release puts it this way: "However you lived it, The Wolf Among Us 2 will remember." It does not give a release date for The Wolf Among Us 2.
What's new in the remaster
- Five playable Deleted Scenes: restored from the original episodes but never in the final release, now available as special features
- Noir Mode: play the entire story in black and white and toggle it on or off at any time
- Extras: a gallery of more than 100 pieces of artwork and over an hour of developer interviews and behind-the-scenes material
- Visual and audio overhaul: enhanced environments, better character fidelity, upgraded lighting, refined animation and remastered audio
- The full season: all five episodes are included: Faith, Smoke and Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep's Clothing and Cry Wolf
The story is unchanged: in 1980s New York you play Bigby Wolf, Sheriff of Fabletown, in a story based on DC's Fables comics. Telltale CEO Jamie Ottilie called it "one of the games that defined" Telltale's legacy.
Switch players: wait a bit longer
Telltale's earlier announcement (and the August press release) listed Nintendo Switch among the Oct. 29 launch platforms and called it the franchise's Nintendo debut. The Oct. 29 launch release now says the Switch version "will follow at a later date." No reason or new date was given.
